Work Background
Has spent the last 20 years working with the Geospatial Information Management Division as the national mapping agency and national spatial data hub for Fiji.
She began her career in topographic mapping production for Fiji and has been part of the change from analogue photogrammetry to the use of digital photogrammetry and emerging technologies for topographic data collection and GIS with various stakeholders both within Fiji, the pacific region and an internationally.
Miss Hicks is currently the acting chair for the Pacific Geospatial and Surveying Council and Chair for the Fiji Geospatial Technical Advisory Committee, which coordinates and monitors the resolutions of Fiji Geospatial Information Management Council.
